Hello

Another pic from visiting my mom's house with Natalie... she gets lots of attention over there :)

For this layout, I decided to print my photo black and white because there was a bright pink ipad (cover) in the front of the photo that I couldn't crop out, plus I wanted to use this awesome newsprint paper from the Lemon Lush collection by Studio Calico and knew therefore, I would be adding lots of bright colors to mix in!

I printed out the free digital files to coordinate with the collection from Studio Calico, and they printed so brightly on my Epson XP-810, they turned out awesome! I made a frame from the vellum tape that came in the Sugar Rush kit, and then added the circles from the free printables and voila - a quick, 20 minute layout!

Be You

Here's another hybrid layout of Natalie playing in her jumparoo! I just LOVE these pics I had gotten for December Daily with our DSLR camera. The quality is so good and Chris bought me a new printer and paper that prints AMAZINGLY!! It is an Epson XP-810 and here he got me some "soft gloss" paper, which prints more like the matte prints that you order from online, so it is perfect!

I got the idea for the digital portion of this layout from this layout by Tina Azmus at Studio Calico! I love how she used some printables for the background of her layout!

I used the Blue Note kit from Studio Calico to complete the rest of the layout - just that purple paper and those precut diamonds that I backed with some woodgrain-like paper. Thanks for stopping by!

An Experiment

Last month I did an experiment and had my husband Chris make a card for my mom (in this blog post). I finally got to scrap those pictures using Photoshop and a digital template made by Catherine Davis for the PROCESS class over at Big Picture Classes! Here's just the template with my photos:

I made this a hybrid layout by adhering that to a 12x12 piece of paper and embellishing from the Printshop line by Shanna Noel!

The best part is that I got a new printer yesterday, courtesy of Chris who did some research and set it up to wirelessly print for me, and bought me some awesome paper too! I got the Epson XP-810 and so far I just LOVE the quality!!
