I definitely don't think I'll be able to keep posting everyday, but it was nice while it lasted haha! Having the first 2 days of December fall on a weekend really helped get me started though. I guess I sort of made Day 2 a combination of digital and physical scrapbooking. I like the look of the Ali Edwards DD overlay on the photo!
One tip I quickly learned (at least for this 4x6 size album), was that I had to stick to just one story a day so far. Yesterday morning, Chris had gotten me McDonald's breakfast before church and I really wanted to include that, but it was gonna crowd the layout with too many different things. This is my first DD, so I really just want to get it done!!
Anyway, the 2nd page, I just cut out a 4x6 piece of white woodgrain paper to start. I had a tiny photo to add so I decided I'd place that to the right (similar to the first day's layout) and decorate around and journal to the left.
I stamped the Ali Edwards This is December and arrow stamps with Hero Arts Red Royal ink and LOVED how that turned out! I added a Studio Calico tree sticker, then some hand stitching with gold thread to sort of frame it, a piece of gold airmail washi tape, and some journaling and voila! Day 2 complete!!
Loving your book so far. I really like the DD overlay ontop of your photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks Megan! The overlays are fun!
ReplyDeleteYour pages look lovely - even one story takes time! The overlay is great on that photo ...
